hi, everybody. i'm beth troutman, and it's time for some all-new videos and the stories behind them, "right this minute." helmet cam rescue as brave firefighters gear up for a house fire with people trapped. see the terrifying search to find survivors in the black smoke. a bus driver tells some young punks. >> okay, guys. you've got to get off the bus. then this happens. >> ah! what a -- >> are you kidding me? >> the story of one tough guy who can take a hit. we've got a revealing look at daily life for someone who's deaf. >> hello. my name is helen. i'm 21 years old.

>> see the surprising result of a cochlear implant. and the story of terry the sheep. >> do you notice anything different about terry? >> as you are about to see -- >> what's up with terry's head? jacksonville fire and rescue department gets a call that there's a house fire with people trapped inside. you've got to imagine the adrenaline starts pumping immediately. two people inside the house. they head right into this place, and right off the bat you notice, you can't see anything. you hear them calling out to the victims. you hear the victim in there is responding. you hear the firefighter say, is there another one? the person says, yes. they're able to quickly remove one of these victims. soon after that, the firefighters realize the other person inside the house is also safe. so now their job is to fight this fire.

you can hear the constant communication between the team. you see smoke, fire. everywhere some big-time flames there. you see the house charred almost completely on the inside. barely recognizable. >> it's amazing there were people still in the house. >> they made pretty quick work of getting those people out of there. didn't take very long. >> absolutely. getting everybody to safety and then do what you can to save the house. the man they did pull from the home suffered some smoke inhalation, taken to the hospital. according to the video he is now in stable condition. the home, sadly, did lose a family dog in this fire. >> ah. >> which you hate to hear. >> oh. this video i'm about to show su going to make you very angry. this happened monday night in kansas city, missouri, on a city bus. what you're seeing are young men who had bottin on the bus. got on separately one at a time.

one would get on and say the guy behind me would pick it up, then the next guy, the guy behind me is going to pick it up. finally, when the last guy got on, he didn't have enough money. so the bus driver told him, okay, guys. you've got to get off the bus. then this happened. >> ah -- >> are you kidding me? >> they sucker punched this bus driver. this 54-year-old bus driver, aened can you see, he looked like he was almost knocked out. he touches his face. it's clearly obvious that he was affected by that punch. >> it's not his fault that they don't have their stuff together. are you kidding me? >> it's not about that. these guys were being jerky kids. >> he's stun and affected by this. >> but he continues to drive. watch. he's driving -- you can see that. he hits that cone, and that's when police say the other passengers on the bus convinced him to stop. >> well, yeah. >> now everybody else is, you know, in danger, because of a couple of stupid kids. >> i am keeping my fingers

crossed that parents come forward and say, look, that was my son, and turns them in. next time you guys are on the road and trying to pass another driver, don't take your cue from any driver on the russian roadways. >> uh-oh. trust me. i will not. >> whoa! >> oh. >> unbelievable. >> someone there didn't see that this is a two-lane road, not a three-lane, where they tried to sort of make it a three way. >> if you're going to make that pass, get out, go and get back. >> it seemed like the passers were just moseying along, like, i'll get past him eventually. a little turtle wax, you'll buff that out. and another individual ow a pileup. >> holdn a spekdecond. you have another crazy russian

car video? oh, boy. the domino effect now. >> this was a five-car pileup, and in this part of the video, you see a little girl being pulled out. one thing that we almost never get to see is video of the entire aftermath of the accident. >> there's still somebody in there. >> there are still two people in that car. amazing. no serious injuries in spite of the magnitude of this crash. i have a really lovely documentary to show you guys. the woman you're seeing on your screen is 21-year-old helen willis. when helen was 2 years old she contracted meningitis and it left her deaf. at the age of 3, she got a cochlear implant. helen is now a student at oxford university. she takes us inside the classroom to allow people the knowledge of what someone with a hearing problem might be

experiencing. >> just move the -- on the left. >> we hear the world as she hears it. >> this is the inpant -- implant the cochlear implant provides me. >> i guess i thought they could magically hear again. >> doesn't she find it distracting? >> in certain cases it is more distracting. an example of going out with her friends to a pub. the setting she feels useless. she can't activity participate. >> she seems happy, though. if anything, an inspiration. >> she's also on the dance team. it's a relief, because she can bring life to music that she can't actually hear. >> wow. >> she can't hear a thing. >> one of the really compelling moments comes towards the end, where she talks about retreating into her world of silence. >> this world of silence is my sanctuary. >> one of the advantages of the

cochlear implant is that it allows her almost perfect speech. >> here, in this place, my two worlds of silence and sound, fused into one. i am not a half breed. i am complete. in the middle of the city and in full view, an incredibly bold attempt. watch. they pull the guy out, but he didn't even have a chance to put it in park. see how this one goes down, next. ah, the tranquility of a sunrise on the beach, and then -- time on the beach. >> cool. >> see who's coming to breakfast on "right this minute." you're stopped at a light in argentina. silver kashgs bottom left, waiting for the light to change. the car pulls up to the side of you, and then in front of you. >> ah!

>> out jaumump as guy points a in your face, and other armed robbers. >> throw in reverse. >> watch. they pull the guy out, but he didn't even have a chance to put it in park and the car they showed up in -- gets opened up like a tin can. smashes the door off, but the guy you see, they pulled him out. >> oh. he got out. he's not in the car. >> another one of the bandits jumped into the car, stopped it, and backs it up. crazy stuff. >> what do you do after that? they probably took his phone, his money, took his car. now you're on a street corner. who knows how far this guy is away from home. >> you know what? i'm glad they didn't harm him at all, because all the other stuff they took can be replaced. this sounds like a bad joke, but it's not. guy walks into a police station. asks to see a cop. sits down and waits. when an officer shows up at the lobby, he whips out a machete.

the officer points a taser and fires but is able to cut the wires of the taser with the machete. this guy, like some sort of samurai? >> no. this guy, he's 19 years old of fort myers, florida. you see the tase other than the ground, but a bunch of other officers barge in -- tase him a second time and knock him to the ground. >> officers are saying think, all went down properly and saved this guy's life. >> they did do an amazing job handling this situation without having to kill anyone. it's sunrise. you're on the shore. beutul t beachchn i li as dolphin. peeking his head out of the water. now two dolphins poking their heads out of the dolphin and then -- time on the beach. >> whoa! >> the best time to fish, in the morning. everybody knows that. >> these dolphins are quite known for going to the beach to

feed like that. >> a hunting technique for sure. corner the fish to where they have no water left to swim in that would be the shore, and then it's easy picking. >> pick them off as the dolphin comes towards you. >> well, i could just go to the grocery store. >> i don't think the people filming this were there to fish. i think they were enjoying the sunrise and happen to see dolphins who are fantastically brilliant hunters. they risked their lives for this. >> they're going, i'm outta here! >> i wish there were sound effects. >> save yourself! >> i think the humans are the only ones that think this is pretty amazing. the fish are like, dolphins are not cute. they just ate my sister. you say basketball is a big man's game. wait until you get a load of mani love. >> on his knees? >> he's all four-foot something.

naughty office of the law. two officers in barcelona caught being a little naughty inside their patrol car. they're doing a video, a parody of a russian girl group. ♪ >> they're driving down the street dancing, very suggesttively and get suggestive with some lollipops but dancing in the patrol car isn't exactly what got them in trouble. it was moves like that, where the officer is sticking his hea, takes his hand off the wheel. both officers ended up being suspended without pay, until they decided what disciplinary action they're going to take. possibly the suit could end up losing their job. >> how did their supervisors find out about this? dopey enough to post it online? >> it's not clear how the supervisors found out about the video, and some reports say there was a third person who

found the video and posted it on youtube, because they weren't happy about what the officers had been doing. >> i get it. these officers are obviously driving while doing this. could have ended up in an accident, rear-ending somebody. >> really, police officers across the board have to do terrible stuff. you want the guys to have some fun in their spare time, but if they're on the clock -- >> that's exactly what the supervisors weren't happy about. they were doing it on the clock and violating traffic laws. but it's not the banana eating, it's the breaking of the law. toughy tug-of-war. carts and a shantytown that somebody has video typed while in a tourist bus. so you're like wondering, why is traffic coming to a stop? it doesn't look like anything -- oh, wait a minute. there are some things in the road. it looks like somebody's performing a cattle drive in the middle of traffic. >> the easiest way to get from point a to point b. i don't blame them. you don't have to go bush whacking. the road is nice and clean and clear. >> i'm disappointed nobody's on rsa going, yee-haw! bikes. maybe easier to control. >> this happens in just about every country in the world except here in our country. wr rarely see this unless you're in a teeny, tiny town. everywhere else you see this, sheep, cattle, a lot of livestock on the roadways. >> most of the times on american roads, it's when their dead. >> oh. >> if you think about it, though, it really was about as long as a red light. let's take a trip to a nice little sheep farm in the united kingdom. let's take a look at terry, the

sheep. do you notice anything different about terry? >> terry's wearing socks. >> what's up with terry's head? >> this is twisted -- >> he hasn't been sheared yet for the season. >> he does still have his wool, but gayle, you are the closest. this sheep's head is upside-d n upside-down. >> sure he's not just turning it? >> absolutely positive he's not just turning it. this sheep was born with his head cadly wonked. >> cadly wonked? >> which is a technical term for upside-down. veterinarians have looked at terry. they have decided that terry does not experience any kind of pain. he was born this way, is eat. is able to swallow his food and seems to be doing just fine, but terry, because of the way his head's placed -- always looking at his feet. >> a good shot. when you see terry kind of from behind and see his little tail. look between his legs and you see his nose on the bottom of his face, up against the grass.
